Route

Walked south through open farmland, admiring the many wind turbines along the way. What a harmonious and majestic way to generate clean, renewable energy.

I passed through a small wood near the village of Glimbach then went to a bakery, where the kind lady behind the counter gave me some food but refused to take money from me. She had seen me earlier, walking along the street carrying litter I had picked up, so perhaps she was rewarding me for that.

I visited the impressive church (exterior only, as it was closed) then headed south-west to Linnich, again passing through a beautiful wood.
