Route

On a lovely, sunny day I walked eastwards, mostly following the small Steinach River, passing near the village of Niedersteinach to Frauental. Here there is a grand church attached to the grounds of a former Cistercian monastery, which was active from 1232 until 1548.

From there I continued on besides the river, leaving the federal state of Baden-Württemberg and re-entering Bayern (Bavaria). I walked on to the village of Equarhofen then Langensteinach, where I visited the local church, before finishing my day’s journey in Reichardsroth.
