Route
I walked from the village of Leutzmannsdorf, through the village of Galtbrunn, to the nearby town named after Saint George, who lived in the 3rd and 4th centuries.
He is a Patron Saint of numerous countries and regions, including England, Ethiopia and Georgia.
The town’s name of Sankt Georgen am Ybbsfelde literally translates as “Saint George in the Ybbs Field”, in reference to the nearby River Ybbs.
