Route

After joining the morning prayer service in the Monastery chapel and visiting the Monastery’s beautiful church, I headed southwards out of Newmarkt, walking alongside the Ludwig-Donau-Main-Kanal under a bright blue sky.

On the way I got talking to Tom, who had rigged up a tarpaulin to give some shade from the strong sunshine.

I then stopped at the Chapel dedicated to Saint Anthony by a disused canal lock before finishing my day’s walk in the village of Mühlhausen.
