  • St. Augustine’s Church, Kirkby (exterior)

Distance Travelled

Approximately 9½ km (6 miles)

Route

Some clouds and quite cold and windy as we ventured onto the North York Moors National Park. After re-visiting the beautiful church in Kirkby, Claire joined again and we steadily walked up the steep hill from Great Broughton into the National Park. We were gifted with amazing views of the surrounding area, seeing as far as the Tees Valley and the North Sea.

In total it took over three hours to walk across rolling hills to Chop Gate, with us regularly stopping to enjoy the sights and the peacefulness of the moors.

Thank you to Claire for joining again today.
